Well done to Josh Spalding (again!) who retained his Edinburgh Junior Champion of Champions Trophy.
Update 31/08/11
The Top 10 was won on Saturday against Carrick Knowe with wins for the Singles, Triples and Fours securing victory! Well Done!
Also, on Sunday the Juniors had a successful day in winning the Edinburgh Junior Knockout Singles (Josh Spalding) and Fours (Aaron Betts, William Reid, Robbie Jenkins & Ross Thomson). It was a remarkable achievement for the rink as it had an average age of 9.75!

Such a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks!
1st XVI won the Edinburgh Bowling League Division 1 for the 3rd year running and also won the 3rd Rink Division 3.
Qualified for the final of the Top 10 against Carrick Knowe on Saturday 27th August at Willowbrae 2pm.
Won the Edinburgh Bowling League Cup!! 
Won the ELBA Top 5 Singles 
WELL DONE TO DARREN SMITH, GARY NISBET & ANDY CALDWELL ON WINNING THE SCOTTISH TRIPLES AT AYR NORTHFIELD!!
And hard lines to Josh Spalding on a fantastic achievement in getting to the final of the Junior U25 Singles where he was narrowly beaten 21-17. We are all proud of the way he played this week and he has a lot of new admirers throughout Scotland now!
Well done to ANDREW CALDWELL, Club Champion 2011, after beating Gordon Bold in the final.
Update 26/07/11
So near but yet so far......Ross & Josh qualified from their section today at the SYBA National Pairs Finals but were narrowly beaten by 1 shot in the semi finals. Hopefully Josh can make up for the disappointment by winning his 1st round Junior Singles match tomorrow.
Update 25/07/11
Due to holidays, no updates have been done to these pages, so a summary of activities are shown below :
The league teams are still doing well, and even though the 1st XVI have not been getting the winning margins of earlier in the season they still hold a substantial gap with 2 games to go. The 2nd XVI have got within touching distance of top spot and a win away to Parkside next week would give them a good chance going into the last game.
Another good season in the Edinburgh Cup sees us in the final again after beating West End BC 4-2 in the semi final. Tanfield are our opponents in the final which has the makings of an excellent game.
Good luck the Josh Spalding & Ross Thomson on Tuesday 26th where they are playing in the SYBA Pairs at Ayr.
More good luck to Josh, Darren Smith, Gary Nisbet, Andrew Caldwell, Eddie Tomany, Jim McLeod, Ronnie Andrews, Ronnie Douglas, Jackie McFarlane, Marie Monteith and Elizabeth McConnell in their efforts at the National Bowls Finals at Ayr this week.
Socials Update
A superb night was held in the club on Saturday 25th June with "Just John & Paul" playing a variety of Beatles music to a large enthusiastic audience. Such was the their popularity, they have been booked again for next year!
Update 22/06/11
1st XVI recorded an excellent 9-0 victory at home to Hillside
2nd XVI also had a good 7-2 victory away to Hillside.
Update 16/06/11
Boom.....another 7 points in the League against Tanfield at home helps the 1st XVI extend their lead at the top of the league. Great position to be in at the half way stage but still a long way to go! The 2nd XVI managed a 5-4 win away at Tanfield.
Boom....Craig McCall, John Shield, Davie Brown & Andy Caldwell won on an extra end in the ELBA Coronation Fours Final at Postal against Carrick Knowe.
Boom.....the Juniors (with the help of Willowbrae) won the East of Edinburgh Junior League. UPDATE.......they are now champions of Edinburgh after beating Carrick Knowe and Tanfield in the semis and final of the League Play Offs on Sunday! Well done!
Club Jackets
The new club jackets have now all been delivered to the club. Money must be paid to Craig McCall before receiving the jacket.

Craigentinny will have representatives in the SYBA U17 Junior Pairs at Ayr in July - Well done to Ross Thomson and Josh Spalding for winning at a rainy Willowbrae (and Craigentinny) on Saturday.
Also a huge congratulations to Josh and Ross on being selected to play in the Scotland U17 Trial Match on Saturday in Perth!
A big well done to the Ladies Triples (Jackie McFarlane, Marie Monteith and Elizabeth McConnell) on winning the Distict V triples on Sunday.

Edinburgh Bowling League Latest - 01/06/11
Another great result for the 1st XVI winning 9-0 at home to Northern to maintain a 10 point gap at the top of division 1 with a tough away fixture next week against out biggest rivals Parkside.
The 2nd XI got beat away at Northern.

Another great result for the 1st XVI winning 7-2 away to Goldenacre. It was by no means an easy 7 points with all rinks down in the early part of the game. Well done.
There was no game for the 2nd XVI this week.
